Why do some students consistently fail to clear prelims and some do it without extra ordinary effort

Hi sir thanks for replying.
I'm working as teacher in private school.as of now I'm working from home. from 8.00am-3.30pm.i have given 5 attempts. Where I couldn't clear prelims. please don't think that I'm not serious about exams. I'm really serious about it. Due to lack proper guidelines and few other personal issues I couldn't work on it to give my best. Now everything falling into right place and I feel I'm strong than before to take up this journey. Please can u give your valuable guidelines/ideas/advice.
