Question (Optional History Paper 1 - 2019) The development of art and architecture during the Sunga period belies the belief that they were anti Buddhist. Discuss.

Hello All,
Can we people do one thing.
I will post one History optional question every day from Previous year papers and we will write our answers for that here.
Let's Start from today itself.

I have completed medieval, modern and ancient. A working professional. any one who wants to practice answer writing

Incase if you are completed optional by first week of Dec it would better because u r almost covered 40% of GS 1 and part of prelims too

Yeahh...that's plus point for history.

Hey pooja would u like to join me in history optional preparation?

Shriman, it’s true that history optional is lengthy but the positive is we have a detailed syllabus. If we closely look at previous year questions we get some important topics which are repeated,

So that way I feel it not only gives lengthy syllabus but also good scores.
I hope my answer helped you.

Anybody who are targeting 2021 ?
October is going to end...and im still sitting with history optional preparation...so anxious how could i complete the whole syllabus!

While studying Ancient history, when you come across any site/place related to it ,try to mark it in a map..

If u do this for whole ancient history, definitely u will complete 90% of map section..

I think for map section, it's better to follow self-study history website..

hey thank you this would be much helpful. I have also started my optional preparation recently and I am also planning to make my own notes on each topic. Anyone who want to practice maps daily you can refer self study history.com . It is good for all ancient sites.
Those who are preparing for first time to know the strategy books and all check Nandini mahraj video in unacademy. It was quite helpful for me.

I actually bought spectrum's historical Atlas of India and do map practice from there. And while reading any book like RS Sharma if I found any site about which I think I didn't read it in Atlas then I google it and wrote on sticky notes and put that on Atlas. And I used to Solve previous year paper to understand the pattern of questions.
I don't make notes for map.

Preparing on my own. What about you guys? Is history scoring? I have heard that it is lengthy

I would say i am not a beginner neither expert. The main problem which I faced was in note making or in other terms consolidating the material. But now I am making them and I will try to share with you all so that it would help some of you people. In starting days I really struggled in consolidating the material so I know that feeling.
I hope my consolidated material would help you understand topic clearly.
As always be kind to one another.

thank you Ritesh that is very kind of you. How to make notes of 50 marker map question that comes in paper 1
