Sir for vocabulary and content in answer writing which book is good, ramesh singh Or sanjiv verma.

For the society part I have not done anything till now, so from where, when and how should I start.

Good evening sir. What are the other supplementary material which makes us understand the core concepts of Ramesh Singh sir book?

Sir, Is Niti aayog three year action agenda 2017-2020 relevant for 2021 mains also?
or will new plan be released after this?

Sir, How to make notes for Economy ? For facts how to incorporate Economic survey and budget in to notes ?

Sir, how to prepare for economics from mains view of point and how to connect prelims with mains in case of economics?

In economy, prelims questions are largely understanding and trend based. Whereas in Mains, questions are analysis based.

You have to have conceptual clarity from NCERTs and any one text book for prelims.
For mains, you need strong analysis of current affairs. Also some answer writing practice in Insights secure will help.
Check Insights secure questions, others answers and synopsis, you will get an idea about how to write a mains answer, practice accordingly.
Regards,

Sir, how to prepare for economics from mains view of point and how to connect prelims with mains in case of economics?

sir I'm doing Sanjiv verma sir's book.. Is it enough along with current affairs and economic survey?

it's good for mains, but not adequate for prelims.
You have to cover a textbook like ramesh singh as well.

Sir,
For economy apart from Ncerts which standard books we need to follow?

You can refer any one text book like Ramesh Singh.
Also, you have to cover economic survey and budget and any current affairs that you are already following.

Sir.... Please provide framework economy answer....

Sir,
For economy apart from Ncerts which standard books we need to follow?

In society answers, you can write

intro -- some facts about the topic

body
-- arguments related to caste, class, gender, rural, urban issues, tribal issues, vulnerable sections etc
Don't write too many economy, polity arguments although they can be there in the periphery

conclusion -- link to SDGs, preamble etc

Sir, for economy (prelims and mains) is it sufficient if we read NCERTS 11 12 latest Economic survey and Union budget along with current affairs?

you also need to read at least one text book like Ramesh singh.

Hi Nv1,

1> for this part, keep a bunch of facts ready about the state of Indian economy in 1950, 1991 and 2018. You should be able to use them in most of the arguments that you make with regard to effects. Also keep evaluation of LPG reforms arguments ready. on agriculture, industry and services. if you keeo 5 positive and 5 negative points, it is enough.

2> On the day of mains exam
Get adequate amount of sleep
Check your bench, if it's shaky ask them to change it.
Make sure you have adequate stationary as backup.
Keep a photocopy of your hall ticket in your bag, bike, car etc as redundancy (you need to show it on multiple days, just in case you forget on one of those days)
If your handwriting is not upto the mark, try practicing 15 minutes of writing before the exam starts
Make sure you are comfortable in the exam hall -- because you need to write for 6 hours -- make your arrangements for the same

In economic survey, not much is important now because a lot has changed because of covid. Just check some conceptual aspects with a birds eye view. No need to get into facts and details at this point
All the best!

Hello sir,
I am preparing for 2021. I am a working woman and have time crunch. I have not yet read the society part of GS-1 from any where. Please guide me how to cover the society part in minimum time considering my time constraints. Also, suggest note-making if any for the same.

For society part, best source that i have come across is Insights secure questions in monthly compilations. Also yojana articles are good.
You can make notes from secure questions and current affairs for society. check previous years questions and make notes accordingly.
If you need to cover syllabus quickly, we have a society and social justice bootcamp at Insights also, you can cover syllabus in a week.

Sir, I'm writing Mains this year. Confused about answering broadbased open ended questions. How to go about them? Please help. Thanks

Hi,
In broad, open ended questions, you need to break the question into parts and handle them.
Try to break the question into 2 pars in 10 marker and 3 parts in 15 marker.
Practice this with 10-15 questions. Think about what you can break the question into.
It is better if you open toppers papers and do this exercise so that you can compare what they have done and take some inputs.
All the best!
